Bill Lilly first entered the energy-conservation industry in 1976, when he started working with Weathermaster Insulation providing energy-efficient design work for an array of different structures from refrigeration buildings to residential subdivisions. In 1981 he started his own insulation-contracting firm, which went on to insulate millions of square feet of walls, ceilings, and floors in existing homes. When this firm was sold, Mr. Lilly retained ownership of the energy calculations division that would later become CLE.
